Job Description: Manufacturing Assistant

Reports to: Production Supervisor

Department: Production

Summary Statement

The Manufacturing Assistant is responsible for assisting with the overall operations of the manufacturing plant.

Job Duties

• Manually lifting materials and tools throughout the plant
• Assisting trained professionals who operate CNC machines, cranes, manual machines, galvanizing, and loading & unloading
• Following safety standards and participating in training to learn how to operate machines
• Keeping the plant & facilities clean
• Other unlisted duties will be assigned

 Knowledge & Skills Necessary to Succeed

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds up to 10 hour per day
• Must be able to move around frequently carrying materials
• Manage multiple tasks, prioritizing what must be accomplished
• Must be knowledgeable and capable of following safety standards
• Must be able to speak clearly and listen to others
• Must be 100% reliable to work when scheduled
• Preference is given to those with a High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and write English fluently with demonstrated proficiency in grammar
• Frequently stands, walks, stoops, reaches, and bends to execute the job
